Karizma R - The most cherished bike for tourers and adventure riders for it's stability, acceleration, nimble handling and mod-friendly get up and Me, Bhaskar the proud owner of a dazzling Yellow Karizma R from some last batch of R's before the Hero and Honda were split.
It's been 5 years since I became the owner of "Yello" on 5th August 2010. She was always with me complementing in the forests of Orissa, deadly corners of the ghats, twisty and winding roads of Bhutan and Sikkim, doing offroad enroute to Sandakfu, potholes in Jharkhand.
When you speak about Bond of Trust between man and machine, YES that is between us.
She never did let me down.
Thought many times of selling her as she was left at the corner of the garage rusting when I was out of country for couple of years. But each time I changed my mind at end. Now at the 5 years of her birthday I decided to give her a make over. I planned to start with shredding the fairing and stock head to give her a bikini look. Many ideas came and I was confused whether to install the round headlight or something sportier which matches the edgy look of the rear. Lot of discussion and with idea from Light Kaka I decided to go for the round one.
Round Headlight : Fiero FX
Bulb : Philips Extreme 60/55W 12V
Turn Indicators : Changed to Pulsar ones with 10W (the stock ones were 21W each!)
Turn Indicator Flasher : Minda 0.25W - 20W 12V
Removed the nose and installed the Omesh Aftermarket Leg Guard.
Installed the new number plate (numbers yet to be printed)
Two L shaped clamp were needed to mount the headlight at the bottom of the speedo. There were plenty space behind the dome of the headlight to put the wires and all. So the end result is neat and clean. Many Karizma owners are searching for fairing shredding option. Here is what you need :

Gr8 work 👍. A makeover always helps to charis the same old wine in new bottle...🍸
Though I personally feel the original look is unbeatable but again the beauty lies in the eyes of beholder 💕
Be a proud owner & enjoy riding 🏁🏁🏁
