The New Year Ride to Chilka The Blue Lagoon

Day 2
Well, after another week I'm back to blogging. Sorry dear friends.
So We were resting in Hotel Sai. We were so damn tired that as soon as we went to bed we were deep asleep. At morning I woke up around 7am & saw others still sleeping, and in another room found Sayan also woke up. We decided to go near the lagoon, it was just in 800mtrs from our hotel. We had some kachuri/puri, whatever it was called there, reaching at the side of the lagoon. the sight from that place was too good. We saw a little hill at the middle of the lagoon just wrapped in blanket of fog. We only could see the top of the hill. We asked for a boat and hearing the cost of trip we did retreat. :( I decided to go a temple on a hill just behind our hotel, but we had to lock our two bikes under the hill and go by foot, which was not a wise decision. So Sayan gave a idea to go to the mountains besides the NH5 we saw on the previous night. Well enough. We went done some photo shoots there. In the mean time when we were planning how we can ride on the top we met a person who was likely to be the site-engineer in the remodeling of NH5. He was so glad to see us, that to our utter surprise he made a road map on his notebook of the temple I stated earlier and gave it to us. We heard the Orissa people are not so co-opeative, but that guy proved us wrong.
Now it was around 10 in the morning. We got a call from Pikonda that we had to leave one room. It was almost done when we reached to hotel. When the others went to get their breakfast I went to do some engine works. We had planned according to the distance, 1st Narayani Temple which is the most known temple in Chilka, people from distant places come here to visit around the year. We saw a picnic spot also just beside the Mandir. We went a bit far by the road behind the temple, the road was awesome for some cornering and we did a bit too!! We've done some photo shoot near the hill nd spend some time there. Our next destination was Nirmaljhara, its a temple too, actually its a small water body surrounded by 4 temple. We had some tea and fag break there, enjoyed the scenic beauty of the hills. It was already 4pm, we already skipped lunch, so we decided to come back to hotel. We had njoyed singara nd rosogolla in a sweetshop, it tasted too good as we were too hungry to eat anything. It was getting dark slowly, the NEW year was just after 6 hrs. As soon as we reached our hotel Abhishek gave a beautiful plan of boozing in the bar just opposite of our hotel. We agreed and went there for some beer and yummi Chicken Pakora!!! We njoyed a lot there really. Near about 10 in the night we came back to hotel. We had to start for our home the next day. We all were a bit sad and dizzy. Just before the 12 o'clock the sky of Chilka was splashed by the light. At last we realized we have done it, we almost done the NEW YEAR RIDE TO CHILKA. We were too happy...
We will again do such kinda journey in the next year..We promised to ourselves...yeah...we will do it again...

The New Year Ride to Chilka The Blue Lagoon

Day 1
We were rolling, the energy was high in the air and beside the freezing breeze blowing against us had shivered each part of the body. We were prepared for any kind of situations but this cold wind was felt too heavy. Even it found some places to enter in my imported heavy jacket and Srirup's brand new Alpinester and make us shiver while riding in over 70s. The tea of Sher-e-Punjab helped a bit till we entered in Kharagpur around 150kms from Kolkata. But we stopped for a tea break and photo session just before Kharagpur. Everyone's hand was so shaking that no one can hold his camera in a steady position. After a little hazy photo session we again hit the road towards Balasore. Here by a small mistake, to take a short-cut of NH60 we lost our way and for that we had to ride a 40kms of a local road with too many potholes. At last we reached on NH60 and saw the open concrete road was calling us to show our steeds' top ends. Lolzzz... But the time showed us around 6.30 and we had covered just 200kms, kms left more than 300. As i was leading I slightly increased the pace and within calculated time we reached the Jaleswar border. It was around 8.00 in the morning.

BALASORE and CUTTUCK
Now the villain came into action, Pikonda and Abhi were feeling sleepy, meanwhile I saw Pikonda just to hit a loaded truck from behind, and just in moment stopped to the nearest roadside tea stall. It was too risky to ride with a sleepy guy in the highway. But we had to reach Balasore anyway. The speed decreased and in around 10.15 we entered in Balasore. A stretch of  60kms under construction NH5 welcomed us with is large potholes some of which almost killed us. Here in Balasore we decided to stay in hotel for some rest and for having a little nap, which was necessary for some riders. We spent around 3hrs in hotel, and after taking a lunch of roti-sabji and tea and some fags we again back in the game. Next stop was Cuttuck a busy city of Orrisa. The road condition was too good, and sometime I was doing in three digit in my 150. The view was also breathtaking beside the road. We had some photo session there too. As soon as we reached to the city we were surrounded by traffic, we stopped almost at every signals throughout the city, and after that again we continued on smooth NH5.
BHUBANESWAR
In around 5.30 we reached in BBSR. We had decides to go Satpada through Puri, but Pikonda managed to arrange a hotel from Kolkata by his in-law and so did our plan changed and we started for Barkul which is situated just opposite of Satpada, having the lagoon in between. I had homeworked on every possible road of this area so again I started leading on smooth black NH5. It was getting dark, and it was the time to use my newly installed Fog lamp in the dark highway. Pikon da remaining just behind me helped me a lot with his P220 projector HL. There is noway to see the scenes beside the highway but we can distinguish some mountains and the road going through that mountains. It was pitch black dark on the both sides, even we can't see beyond our headlight trails and just our bikes were roaring in that dark. It was a really awesome experience. I can still feel the air humming in my ears. Srirup done a lot of riding shoots there. But when we just to reach Barkul we found a huge traffic our way due to some road block. After half an hour we were free and nearly at 10.00pm we reached at our destination Hotel Sai Complex. We were too hungry as we hadn't have anything in evening. Just after we shifted in our room we frshened up and rushed to the nearest hotel Hotel Chilka, we had plain chicken curry and rice, the chicken was not so good not the rice too. But that was enough to please us. We had no energy left to carry ourselves. We had plan to see the sunrise in Chilka, but I was not sure if we can make it on time, but as always I am optimistic. As soon as I got the bed I felll asleep. Nextday there are many more places to visit many more kms to run..... Good Night...

I was really being bored at the end of the year. The previous post was all about it. I was willing to go somewhere to escape from this mere responsibilities and take rest for a while. One night I was searching for some place to visit, I opted for Vizag mainly. But in Roadrollers I came to know a guy Srirup who had planned to go to Mondarmoni which I visited before. We were just chatting and the fruit of chat was the plan of a ride to Chilka Lagoon in Orrisa. It was a green lagoon beside Bay of Bengal and a narrow passage is the connector between  the lagoon and the sea. The plan was all set to be two and a half day tour and in utter surprise new guys were being interested in it. At Last we became 7 riders in 6 steeds. All were ready to hit the road on 29th night @ 3am.

Day 0
I had some personal commitment on 29th so I reached to Abishek's mess near Chingrighata around 7 in the evening and after a while Arko and his brother joined us. We stayed in the mess to have some sleep. I have an idea why the sleep is needed and also I was tired, so I felt asleep until Abhishek and Srirup came back from Srirup's house. After 11 each and everyone tried their most to but the excitement of the ride was on full in everyone. At last we hit the road at nearly 2.30am in the night but a sad incident happened just before, Srirup's P180 had got a puncture, so he came as a pillion of Abhi. Pikon Da and Sayan was waiting for us in front of Infinity Tower(Sec-V), they were told to come at Chingrighata Crossing. After a little chit chat we started our ride. As soon as we turned on bypass a dense fog was there to slow us down. But in a while we get out from it. I was leading, then Abhishek, Sayan Arko and Pikonda. We crossed 2nd Hooghly bridge and in a short while we were on NH6 through Kona Expressway. We maintained a speed of 70-75 and in no time we reached Kolaghat, our first pit stop. We were planning for some famous "Singara" for Abhishek but there was nothin left for us :( The watch showed us around 4.15. We had some tea and biscuits and a small photo session and again hit the road towards Kharagpur. The sun had just left his bed and was preparing to get out in d sky and we the rollers were rolling on our way.

War with whom....

Hoila...I am back in blogging after a a long vaccation. :) Well was busy with my biggest event after my Standard X exam, CAT'09. I wrote it on 30th, nd was happy with the score I attempted but don't know what is goin on in the IIM Directors' mind to make it a fair enough for the takers. Wat would happen, just let it happen. Let's remember why I am here???

Now-a-days I am just asking myself what actually I'm gonna do?? I heard a lot of people doing a strange thing, they donno what actually they are looking for, they jumps into whatever comes in their way, nd puit their best into it to get the results. I am not dis respecting them, it is really a trial n error process that many n many of us do in our world around, and finallythey find on what way they are going nd find what they are looking for. So??? have they wasted all their valuable time just whiling around instead doing some worthy job or they found their passed time worthy for gettin what they are looking for.
That's the thing now I am in. Everyday I woke up in the morning seeing the sun and the world out of my window, if something new happened. One of my friend told if the day seem to somehow different in your eyes in the morning you can be sure of the day being yours.Till now I am waiting for the day to come. Today called two leading BPOs in Kolkata, wtf they want to take the B.E grads. The companies are not willing to take the new guys, they are busy washing their hands full of the freshers they took years ago. My friends are going away. Hardly one and half month. I will be here chatting with my dear and near ones. Let see...

Will be back very soon....
