An afternoon at Saktigarh...

Well, it was another morning without any so called new happenings. My boredom was boring me again. There was a lot of fuel in my sweetheart's tank waiting and calling me to go somewhere. Called Ankan around 12.30 if he's free and aila...he is free indeed. We are planning to go somewhere but where...I suggested to Saktigarh "Let's have some langcha!!". It was just a 2min plan. I was about to pick up Ankan from his house. We started at sharp 2.00. We took the Belgharia expressway and in no time we arrived at NH2. In between we had done some photo shoot also :)

Then I started ripping the bike around 80-90kmph. I was happy just escaping out from my boredom. Soon we reach the place called Singur, stopped there to get some snaps. I tried my hand on Ankan's new Fuji DSLR with macros of some flowes. Then again we stated rolling on.

Now after we started a strange thing happened...I was quite enbarrased with it. I was ripping nearly at 95kmph, Suddenly I heard a horn beepiing behind me and at the same time I saw the dippers, it was a Tata Safari trying to overtake me. I roared my engine a little more but i saw it passing me smoothly in a speed of 3 digit I was in 98kmph den. :(
What I tried??? Why I tried??? :P
We stopped somewhere near Saktigarh can't recollect the name. There was a small bridge over a connector of 4 roads, amidst of a long greeny field. It looked awesome. We started our trying hand again. I was happy riding on my bikes nd Ankan was happy getting a lot of object to shoot.

After a short while some local lads came with some curious looks. Infront of those curious eyes we couldn't continue our clicking at all. So we started rolling again and in no time reached Saktigarh. We stopped at Langcha Mahal, Had some snacks nd tea. It was around 5.30 in watch. It was the time of sunset, nd it was getting dark. We got a couple of picture of sunset over NH2 and stated rolling back towards Kolkata.

Sunset at NH2
On the way back home I encountered a lot of trucks loaded with sands giving us slaps. We managed at last to get rid of them and continued journey on a average speed of 70kmph. We stopped somewhere in the the road where there was no light in vicinity knowing the risk, but we stopped to get some pics...here they are.....

 NH2 at Night

but it was too dark. The time also tensed us coz none of us told i home where we r going. We stopped again near the Singur Power Plant had some smoke and tea and started rolling on till we reached our home safely in time.
It was a good hang out for both of us on that day. We both enjoyed the journey nd hope to get some of this trips in coming days together.

Her First Birthday ride to Mondarmoni...

It was d day 6th October 2008 I got her from Rolta. Who's she??? Guess....It was Black, my dad insisted on red but Black being my fav color I went for it. I got a loadzz of experiences with her. My girlfriend never told me, but I am sure she envy her most in dis world.
6th October 2009 it was her 1st birthday and I was going to cross 10k on the Odo. I was wondering how it can be celebrated; Oyshee suggested for Mondarmoni the lonely beach of West Bengal. I am glad to show my pulsy the sea nd beach on her 1st Birthday….

The plan was done b4 and we set it out on day of her birthday. On the 6th, Tuesday I set my tripmeter to zero and set out from home at 6:30 to meet my brother Abhinaba at Baguiati Bus stop. I was so eager to start on,I took a small breakfast of a cup of tea and 2 biscuits. We were about to go to Mourigram to pick Oyshee from her home. Abhinaba came late as always. After a short chitchat we started rolling on. On reaching EM Bypass, I started my run for life drive as there was hardly any traffic on d road. We reached Mourigram via Hooghly Bridge. Abhinaba hardly knew the road and seeing the congestion in Andul road, he got frustrated. We den started from Mourigram Bridge towards NH6. Within no time we arrived at Alampur. Great roads coupled with the daylight pushed me and my beast to the limits; I maintained speeds of 75-85 kmph. Being his 1st ride with me it seemed hard for Abhinaba to maintain the pace with me. On a couple of occasion I touched the three digit on speedo, as my pillion was not so comfortable with that speed. We stopped directly at Kolaghat. It was showing just 86kms in the odo. We got our breakfast and tea at a roadside hotel, we wished to halt at Sher-e-Punjab but we had to make our halt short..

Soon we took the left turn from Kolaghat, we encountered the proposed 4 lane Digha Road, where the roadwork was stopped for a long time due to some problem. The road has many divesions, I tried to count them, alike the bumpers we encountered while offroading Gadiara, but after hitting some "du hat chorie thaka" potholes, I just concentrated on driving my beast carefully. We could maintain an average speed of 60 to 65 upto Nandakumar, when we reached there the watch showed it 11.15am. We took a right turn from there and continued journey towards Digha. The road was the standard two lane state highway, and road was sourrounded by some breathtaking views. We halted somewhere in that road for some shutter click. Abhinaba was quite exited by those sceneic beauties, but I was bit worried about the road condition after Chaulkhola at that time coz it was raining there and we didn't know what is waiting for us....We again started rolling nd reached Chaulkhola by Contai Bypass, the only road after NH6 having a good condition. But after Chaulkhola, we took a left turn and we saw the 12kms road wating for us is in a terrible condition. Everything was present there to slow down our pace. It took about more than 35mins to cross that 12km road. Finally at around 1.45pm we could see d sea infront of us, and really I can't express what I felt at that moment.

No people, no cars, no noise....just the sea and we infront of it. There were some fishing boats with fishermen. We stopped going near to the sea. I was eager to touch the water and after a while I was in the water, nd then Abhinaba too. I took some pictures and tried some pose with my beast and returned to the shore coz our everything was on our bikes. We spent more than a hour on the beach, never knew when the time passed clicking, riding, bathing. Then we saw it was getting late and started our journey back from there nearly at 3.00pm. We stopped at Contai bazar to have our lunch of paratha and chicken kosha. Then we set off our return legs towards NH6. I was trying to get on NH6 on the daylight. The road after Kolaghat had frightened me. But it got dark before we reach the highway. We halted at kolaghat around 6.45. Took a little tea break at Sher-e-Punjab and again started our journey back home. We took the road through which we came, dropped Oyshee at her place nd rode back to our sweet home around 9.00pm.
It was a terrific experience for me nd surely also for the other two. I was damn tired, This was my longest trip till now..386km.........I was happy. I liked the journey.....and I wish to do more than it in future.....I just want to keep rolling nd rolling nd rolling.........

A day dream.....

Well after a long interval of me is here. In dis days the weather is acting like a stranger to me. It is doing every thing it can which I even don't like a least. Today the day started as every other day, waking up with mummy's turbulent flow of nonstop words in late morning.
I was suppoose to go to my CAT coaching class today with Ankan, friend from my high school. I woke up saw my brother(sun, i've no brother at all) giving an angry look to me....I was sure the day would be a day nothin other than everyday. Who knew it was going to change a lot in plan.....
I was ready to go out called Ankan, then the villain Mr. Rain came into play, waited a long until it stops.....but the time crossed 10, when we were supposed to be present at the class... We missed d class 4 2day, we stood beside the road jst wondering wat to do at this morning full of rain and pain??
Well we will go for a ride, i suggested wat was expected. We started from Ankan's house giving some bullshit causes of missing the class jst to take out the new DSLR of him. then we headed for through Belghoria xpressway to NH2.."Delhi chalo!!!!!"......
We went too far there by the road, took a few snaps of our journey, my sweetheart pulsy, nd ours.....181 snaps in 1 n half an hour.....

Sip n See...

Whiskey is a drink best suited to relaxation. Beer is perfect for
watching football. Wine is great with dinner. But whiskey is happiest
when wed to book of poetry.

This poem is Best viewed with a glass of IRISH WHISKEY

Dear fellow-artist, why so free
With every sort of company,
With every Jack and Jill?
Choose your companions from the best;
Who draws a bucket with the rest
Soon topples down the hill.

You may, that mirror for a school,
Be passionate, not bountiful
As common beauties may,
Who were not born to keep in trim
With old Ezekiel's cherubim
But those of Beaujolet.

I know what wages beauty gives,
How hard a life her servant lives,
Yet praise the winters gone;
There is not a fool can call me friend,
And I may dine at journey's end
With Landor and with Donne.
